Visiting card or business card?
They are the same thing. “Visiting card” is the older and still far more common phrase in India; “business card” is what the rest of the world tends to say. A digital visiting card, an e-visiting card and a virtual visiting card all mean one thing: your details on a page of your own, opened by a link or a QR code instead of handed over on board.
If you have ever had five hundred cards printed and then changed your mobile number, you already know the argument. The digital one is edited once and every copy you have ever given out is correct from that moment — including the QR code on a shop board or an auto-rickshaw.
How cards actually move here
Made for how cards are shared in India
A link in a chat, a QR on the counter, and your UPI ID on the same page as your number.
WhatsApp first
Your card is a link, so it goes in a chat like anything else. They tap it, and your details open with a button to save you.
Your UPI ID on the card
Put your UPI ID on the card and someone can pay you from the same page they found your number on.
A QR to keep on the counter
Show it on your phone or print it once. It keeps working after you change your details, because the link never changes.
Keep the cards you are given, too
Most of the visiting cards in your drawer were given to you, not by you. Yuj reads a printed card from a photograph — name, designation, company, every phone number on it — and saves the person to your contacts. If a card prints a landline and a mobile, the mobile is the one it offers to call.
You can add a short voice note while you still remember the conversation, which is the difference between a contact list and a pile of cards nobody opens again.

Questions people ask
What is a digital visiting card?
It is your visiting card as a web page instead of a printed board. You share a link or a QR code, it opens on the other person's phone, and they save your details with one tap.
Can I share it on WhatsApp?
Yes, and that is how most people use it. The card is a link, so you send it in a chat exactly like any other link. Nothing is downloaded and nothing is installed.
Can I put my UPI ID on it?
Yes. If you add your UPI ID, it appears on your card so somebody can pay you from the same page they found your number on.
Is a digital visiting card free?
Making one, sharing it and saving the people you meet is free, with no trial period. Paying adds your own branding, a second card and a bigger monthly allowance.
Do I need to print anything?
No. Some people print the QR code once for a counter or a board, because the link behind it never changes even when the details do. That is a choice, not a requirement.
